Physiotherapy

Goal of treatment

Physiotherapy acts as both a short and long-term solution to relieving musculoskeletal pain. From muscular tension to severe joint-related injuries, through targeting specific impairments you will be put on a path toward better flexibility, mobility and overall physical functionality.

What's involved?

A combination of soft and deep-tissue massage techniques incorporated with joint mobilization treatments, stretches and exercises to ensure the long-term sustainability of your results.

Charlie will be restoring movement and function in the problem area(s), taking the necessary steps to alleviate pain and various preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of injury reoccurrence.

Things to expect

A portion of your first session will be dedicated to Charlie assessing you to develop a comprehensive understanding of your condition before proceeding to treat it. This will include a physical assessment of tissue integrity and sensitivity, movement mechanics along with other performance-related measures.

Through the use of 3D anatomy modelling, along with supporting informational resources, Charlie will provide you with an in-depth explanation of the health issues you are currently experiencing and what is causing them.

What’s the difference between physiotherapy vs sports massage therapy?
Physiotherapy treatment applies to a broader range of musculoskeletal health conditions that impair mobility and cause feelings of pain and discomfort. Sports massage therapy conversely is focused solely on muscular manipulation to relieve tension and soreness.

3 steps to recovery

Understanding

Through interactive 3D anatomy modelling and thorough one-on-one consulting in your first session at the clinic, we will gain a comprehensive understanding of your condition. From here I will draw up the optimal treatment program tailored for you.

Execution

Together we will follow this roadmap to give you the most impactful results. This will typically take the characteristics of more frequent sessions in the shorter term, then as we move along your recovery timeline, typically we'll progressively decrease the intensity.

Longevity

I like to make sure my patients understand what is happening in their bodies so they can best alter any destructive habits. You will be looked after with my aftercare plans that are drawn up with a level of detail and care you will not find anywhere else.
